Aylesbury Vale set for cash injection

Communities across the South East are set to receive a cash boost sometime after November 2005 when additional government funding becomes available as the result of over 70 projects that will submit bids for funding. Revitalising town centres, new homes, a leisure centre, learning opportunities for young people, and local nature conservation are just some of the projects which, following an earlier ‘Expressions of Interest ‘phase have now been provisionally earmarked to win a share of £200m to develop new housing and regeneration projects within Aylesbury Vale and throughout the South East

The outcome of the bids will be particularly good news for Aylesbury Vale Advantage Ltd, the Local Delivery vehicle set up to develop a future vision for Aylesbury Vale.

With Aylesbury currently experiencing a positive period of sustainable growth the extra cash boost will be ideal timing for those living in and around the Aylesbury area. Housing, transport, leisure, and local businesses can all expect increased development and funding as a result of these bids.

Greg Lomax, Managing Director of Aylesbury Vale Association, commented,

“This is excellent news for everyone living and working in Aylesbury Vale which is already witnessing the start of an ambitious development programme. It will add to the current success and potential that already exists for communities, businesses, and transport links within the district”.
