The Waterside project is the first of many exciting new initiatives helping to shape the future Aylesbury - this major, multi-faceted re-development scheme will help transform and improve a large area of the town centre.
Acting as a beacon for the many new and exciting redevelopment initiatives planned across Aylesbury Vale, work has now started on what is by any standards a major construction project.
April saw the first preparatory work on the new site, which will be followed by extensive works to create the massive basement that will service the superb new theatre complex - an architectural landmark and iconic symbol for the new Aylesbury.
The scale of the new venture can also be gauged by the tasks required to develop the site which include, altering the flow of Bear Brook to smooth out its curves and the construction of a temporary road over the brook to Walton Street to help bring construction materials and plant onto the site.
