The schemes are:
This is a comprehensive project, with the key objective to develop and promote Public Transport provision to cater for both current and future demand - offering a viable alternative to car travel.
The scheme would incorporate the following elements:
New bus lanes
A new £3.8 million bridge to replace the old structure linking the town centre to the areas south of the railway line - Southcourt, Aylesbury College and beyond.
The bridge approach will also be extended to the new signalised railway crossing at Friarage Road, spanning Station Way with its proposed increased bus traffic.
Positioned close to both the station, transport hub and town centre the bridge will be a prominent landmark for visitors to Aylesbury.
