In addition to housing and business growth, the popular BBC television series, ‘Hotel Babylon’ is also attracting visitors to the area. The series which is based on a five star hotel and its staff is filmed in Aylesbury and is a welcome boost to town and county.
Aylesbury Vale Advantage (AVA) is working with its partners including Aylesbury Vale District Council to promote Aylesbury as a place to grow and nurture business. Greg Lomax, Managing Director of AVA said, “Exciting times are ahead for the population of Aylesbury. With greater transport links and increased regeneration residents can be proud of where they live”.
The BBC series Hotel Babylon has created additional interest in Aylesbury with increased visits to its website. Christopher Aird, producer of the show said, “Aylesbury is a quiet and peaceful location in which to film with the benefit of excellent links both to London and the rest of South East England”.
