Welcome to the website of Aylesbury Vale Advantage. Since 2004 we have worked with our partners to create a vibrant and prosperous Aylesbury Vale. Aylesbury Vale Advantage will continue to support the expansion of sustainable growth within Aylesbury Vale by implementing our Business Plan for 2011 – 12.
Our Objectives:
- To support the local authorities and agencies in the implementation of agreed plans and strategies arising from the Localism Agenda
- To lead and progress projects that will have a fundamental affect on the future sustainability of employment, housing, retail, services and infrastructure opportunities within Aylesbury Vale. The progression of current activity to secure sufficient future electricity supply capacity forms part of this support.
- To promote and progress a defined number of momentum projects that will ensure a successful transition to an employment led programme: Job creation at Silverstone, implementation of the Aylesbury Town Centre Plan, promotion of Superfast Broadband across Aylesbury Vale and support for East West Rail being our high short term priorities.
- To help prepare and support bids to the Regional Growth Fund and to support the delivery of projects outlined in the Buckinghamshire Local Investment Plan.
In addition Aylesbury Vale Advantage will continue to:
- Unblock blockages to growth by bringing parties together to solve problems
- Speed up the delivery of projects by concentrating on specific issues
- Consolidate investment to help projects develop
Our programme of activity is set within the context of the Buckinghamshire Local Investment Plan and Aylesbury Vale District Council’s (developing) new planning policy – The Vale of Aylesbury Plan.
We face these future challenges with optimism based on our successful 6 year track record of working relationships with our partners and other external private sector agencies.
